Dougs Dream Inc. is a non-profit foundation created from devoted Catholic and other Christian individuals who are dedicated to aid, rehabilitate, and care for orphaned and abused children of the Philippines who are missing a healthy family nucleus to nurture and support them as they mature into young adults.
We believe in a holistic approach to childhood development and that children can grow into a healthy individual if basic needs are fulfilled which includes:
Being loved
Feeling special
Having enough to eat
Providing moral guidance
Providing a family atmosphere
Being challenged intellectually
Participating in faith-based programs
Experiencing normal play activities
Having stability and structure
Listening and being heard
Providing positive discipline
The Method
By raising $60,000 over the next year (September 2010) and by Douglas helping support the initial start-up funds with $60,000 of his own savings we are constructing a home like structure our facility becomes a lifeline for 30 orphaned children...But this is only the start. The amount of children we help is directly related to our initial funds raised and ultimately our God Parent Sponsorship Program.
The orphanage will be a place of peace and harmony and is designed to instill healthy social skills, morals, education, and empowerment through self-government. We are passionate about rescuing children who are left on their own, and we believe in caring for the child in a safe and loving family environment which includes nurturing the spiritual growth of each individual person by exposing them to a Christian faith-based ambiance where they can learn and instill the values of God. Ultimately, the goal is for the orphanage to be self sufficient by raising its own crops, fruits and/or goods.

Location of The Orphanage
The projected location of the orphanage will be in the central Philippines, specifically, in the Cebu area or what is known as the Visayas. This is an ideal area that can help many children located in the urban area of Cebu and throughout the surrounding islands yet also, offer a vast array of cultural experiences for those who have never been to the Philippines and want to explore the natural beauty of over 7,000 islands.
It is Ironic that a place which offers such beauty would also have so many poor who need our help.

95% of Your Donations Go Directly To Build The Orphanage
An unprecedented 95% of the donations & funds raised shall go towards building the orphanage. All financial statements, receipts, and justification of spending will be provided to all members via web. Dollar for dollar we are the most open and credible foundation surpassing the world leading organizations in financial statements and receipts being shown to the public. Don't forget we are completely run by a voluntary staff and when the orphanage is built YOU will decide by your vote what is an appropriate salary for all staff. You are an important part of this organization and we believe if you are willing to donate your hard earned money then you should be treated and feel like a valued member who's opinion counts.
